Uzbekistan bids for hosting FIFA’s Annual Congress

Several countries have applied to host the FIFA Congress 2016. They are Costa Rica, Canada, Greece, Jamaica, Jordan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Panama, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, the UAE and Uzbekistan.

To bid for hosting the event, the countries need to apply with official letter to FIFA. The name of the hosting country will be announced in December 2013.

As a reminder, this year’s Congress was held in Mauritius. 2014 Congress is to take place in Brazil, and 2015 in Switzerland.
