AFC U-22 Championship. Uzbekistan started with a victory

Yang Chaosheng’s strike 10 minutes before half-time of an entertaining contest appeared to have earned Fu Bo’s China all three points after the striker, who was part of Guangzhou Evergrande’s AFC Champions League winning squad last season, was added to the group as a late injury replacement for Wu Yizhen.
 
But after captain Krimets headed home in the second minute of stoppage time following increasing late pressure from Uzbekistan, Sergeev was quickest to react after Jamshid Iskanderov’s shot came back off the crossbar to seal the win for Shukhrat Maksudov’s side with virtually the last kick of the game.

But Uzbekistan should have been back on level terms two minutes after the hour mark as Rashidov’s pull back found Sardor Mirzayev unmarked just outside the six-yard area, but with the goal at his mercy, the second half substitute inexplicably blazed over the crossbar.
 
Uzbekistan continued to exert pressure in the closing stages as Fang had to be on his toes to push Rashidov’s 75th minute free-kick over the crossbar before Sergeev’s deft close range flick with two minutes remaining dropped the wrong side of the upright.
 
That appeared to have ended Uzbekistan’s hopes of a comeback, but in the second minute of stoppage time, their pressure finally paid off as Krimets headed home Mirzayev’s left-wing cross at the back post.
 
And two minutes later Sergeev was on hand to prod home from the edge of the six yard area after Iskanderov’s rising strike from just outside the penalty area bounced down off the crossbar.
